Roots Run LLC (“Roots Run,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit fintech-aegis.org (the “Site”), book or receive errand services, or apply to work as a runner (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Who we are

Roots Run LLC is a Wisconsin limited liability company based at 8301 64th Street, Kenosha, WI 53142. We provide local errand and delivery services to customers in Kenosha and surrounding communities, and we engage runners to perform those errands. We act as the data controller for personal information processed through the Site and our customer and runner relationships.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact & account details — your name, email address, phone number, and the addresses involved in an errand (pickup and drop-off locations).
  • Errand details — shopping lists, items, instructions, and any notes you share so a runner can complete the task.
  • Payment information — processed by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Communications — messages, photos, and call records related to your errands and support requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and interactions with the Site.
  • Location data — with your permission, approximate or precise location to match a nearby runner and provide live tracking during an active errand.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use information

  • Take, schedule, route, and complete your errands and deliveries.
  • Match you with a suitable runner and enable live tracking and messaging.
  • Process payments, send receipts, and prevent fraud and misuse.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site and Services, and (where permitted) send updates you can opt out of.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal information on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract (delivering your errands), our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

  • Runners — we share the details needed to complete your errand (such as your name, pickup/drop-off addresses, and instructions) with the assigned runner, and only for that purpose.
  • Service providers — vetted vendors who help us operate, including payment processors, mapping, communications, background-check providers, and hosting/infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare, bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, runners, and the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Runners & applicants

If you apply to become a runner, we collect the information needed to evaluate your application, which may include your contact details, eligibility to work, transportation, and the results of a background check performed by a third-party provider with your consent. We use this information to assess and manage your engagement and to keep our customers and community safe.

7. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to operate the Site and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Learn more in our Cookie Policy.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. How we protect data

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews. See our Trust & Safety page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. U.S. state residents (including under the CCPA/CPRA) may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — which we do not engage in. To exercise any right, contact us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
